This is a great time to be searching for a home to buy for it is indeed
a buyers market. In Napa County, there is a vast inventory of homes, sellers
are anxious to sell and interest rates are at 20-year lows. In addition,
prices have dropped considerably. It is a particularly good time to be
a first-time buyer. For those who qualify, it's possible to get an FHA
loan which can mean a down payment as low as 3.5%. This can be a good
option for those who want to buy but don't have a lot of money as a down
payment. Of course also, it can be a great time to consider a vacation
home or income property.
It's possible for first-time home buyers to qualify for a federal tax
credit if buying this year (currently, the home must be in escrow by April
30, 2010 and close by the end of June). This first time home buyer credit
is structured at 10% of the purchase price and capped at $8,000. In addition,
you might collect up to $6,500 from the government if you’re a move
up buyer.

supervisor contact information, and more. All you need is the address
of the property in order to view the parcel's aerial photo and information.
